Vold and Flundra Move on to Houston Finals

HOUSTON, Texas — In last night’s second semifinals at Rodeo Houston, our Canadian contention went 5-for-5 as all contestants now have made it to tomorrow’s finals to compete for $50,000.

Jake Vold made it first with one of the highest scores of the whole rodeo so far, a 90 on Little Linda from the Harry Vold Rodeo Company. Vold won $1,200 for his efforts moving his total to $4,700 from four horses. First on the night went to Kaycee Field with a 93.

Below you can watch Vold’s ride at exactly one hour into the video, a half hour later you can watch Dustin Flunda score 86 points on Lush Margie of the Calgary Stampede. That was good for a tie for second and another $1,000 moving his Rodeo Houston total to $5,500 thus far.
