Triplett Leads After Night One: EPB Finals 2011

Butte, MT: The Elite Professional Bull Riders Finals for the 2011 Season kicked off last night in the Butte Civic Center. With bulls coming from Canada and the United States from six different contractors there were many great rides.

Right off the bat, the young gun from Meeting Creek, Garrett Green made this ride:

Not long after that Columbia Falls, MT’s Matt Triplett put this ride on the board:

Near the end of the Long Go Australia’s Kyle Loudon made his way to the Short Go with this ride:


Going into the short go, things looked like this:

Long Round:  (1)  Curry Fielder, Cody, WY, 87; (2) Levi Hendrickson, Arlee, 84.5; (3/4 spl) Kyle Louden, Australia  and Garrett Green, Meeting Creek, AB 84; (5) Matt Triplett, Columbia Falls, 82; (6) Clayton Tucker, Cody, WY, 81.5; (7) Tyler Adrian, Cody, WY, 81; (8) Stetson Lawrence, Trenton, ND, 79.5; (9/10/11 spl) Ryan Prophet, Rigby, ID, Jerrett Nash, Sangudo, AB, and Brandon Wallantine, Paris, ID, 78.


In the middle of the Short Go Matt stepped it up with this huge effort on the Two Bit Bucking Bull Buckin’ Fantastic:

As the last rider out Garrett Green spurred this bull nearly to the lead:

In the short go here’s how it ended up:

Short Round:  (1) Matt Triplett, 88; (2) Tyler Adrian, 83; (3/4 spl) Stetson Lawrence and Garrett Green, 80.5.

After one night, here are the average leaders:

Night two kicks off tonight at 7:00pm. The 2011 Finals Champion and Year End champions will be crowned tonight. Will you be there?
