The 27th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering will take place January 24-29th, 2011in Elko Nevada. I haven’t been to this event yet but I think it would be really cool. I guess I’m not too far away being in Las Vegas, NV right now. I know one person who will be there next week is fellow Canadian Corb Lund. I would darn sure bet on Canadian Legend Ian Tyson also being there. I had the chance to meet Waddie Mitchell in Hobbs, NM when I was at school there too and I know he should be there. I will put a video or two from him up on here in the future too.

For those of you that have been there what can you tell everyone else about it? I would sure like to know more. I am considering making my way up there next week and would like to know some more information first hand. I would really appreciate some comments on your experiences and I’m sure others in my situation would too!
