The “toughest sport on earth” is riding into Dawson Creek.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, Dawson Creek’s Encana Event Centre will be hosting the Peace Country Cody Snyder PBR Invitational, a professional bull riding event.

Those in attendance will have the pleasure of watching the best bull riders from all over the world, including world champion Cody Snyder, take on the meanest, toughest bulls produced by Mother Nature.

Snyder, an 18 year veteran of the sport, gave praise to the knowledgeable fans of the Peace Region, saying they not only have a great understanding of the sport, but also know how to have a good time. Snyder feels Saturday night’s event will be the “party of the year”.

Immediately following the event will be the “In The Dirt After Party” featuring the John Deere Band and a special appearance by two-time PBR world champion Justin McBride.

Once again, the adrenaline-filled event is in support of the Dawson Creek Fall Fair. Last year, the event raised over $29,000 for the Fair.

The event begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening one hour prior. Tickets cost either $51.50 of $41.50 and can be purchased through at the Dawson Creek Co-op website, or by calling 1-877-339-TIXX (8499).

For more information on the event, or for directions on how to get to the Encana Event Centre, visit the event website.

Snyder says for everyone in attendance to “expect the unexpected.”
