Buffalo, AB: After competition in all of rodeo’s events this afternoon, one man was better than the rest taking home the biggest share of $10,000. Mayerthorpe’s Travis Reay is that man.
Reay led most of the afternoon and had the event nearly wrapped up going into the bull riding. His closest competitor? The same man crowned Canada’s Ultimate Cowboy this past New Year’s Eve in Ponoka, AB; Jeremy Harden. Travis was not there that night. Whichever comes next should be an interesting match.
A Canadian Finals Rodeo Qualifier in the Steer Wrestling for the first time in 2012 (NSB-2; 98,99), Reay has won numerous titles in the semi-pro ranks of Canadian Rodeo in his career. Not in one event either, he’s won them in the Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping too.
Stay tuned for highlight’s from today’s events coming soon along with the full results and an interview with our champion by Announcer Joe Braniff.
