Winnipeg, MB: The PBR Canadian Cup Series makes their way to the Home of the NHL’s newest edition, The Winnipeg Jets’ MTS Center. Located in downtown Winnipeg, the MTS Center will play host to some of Canada’s best bulls and actually only a total of 11 Canadian riders along with 15 from the United States and 4 from Australia.
After one event on the PBR Canadian Cup series and one PBR Canada Touring Pro event, Zane Lambert leads the 2012 Standings. Cody Ford of Hermiston, Oregon sits second and Matt Bohon of Missouri is a close third. 2006 Canadian Champion Tanner Girletz sits in the 4th spot in the quest for the 2012 PBR Canadian National Title.
With $25,000 in prize money up for grabs, look for some big effort coming from these guys in Winnipeg. Many of the riders are coming to Winnipeg after being cut from the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. The first one that comes to mind is Brendon Clark. He want’s to make his way back to the PBR’s elite level. He’s had success up here in Canada before. He is one of my picks to do well.
On that note I like what 2011 Canadian Champion Chad Besplug has drawn tomorrow. It’s a bull owned by Josh and Tamara Berezay of McGrath, AB by the name of Monkey Bones. This bull should jump out and kick hard and spin to the left. This bull is a good feeling one that Chad should ride and be in the mid to high 80’s on.
It’s going to be a great night of action though with a rank pen of short round bulls as well.
I wish I was going myself, but I’ll be up in Olds, AB at the CIRA Rodeo there. Look for a recap from there with myself and Nicole Briggs there on Sunday or Monday.
Even though I’m not going to be in Winnipeg I was able to meet up with Announcer Brett Gardiner today to talk about the event. Check it out here! For this video too I want to let you know it’s brought to you by Wayne’s Plumbing & Heating from my hometown of Drayton Valley, AB. If Wayne can ever help you out he would! Tell him I sent ya too!
What do you think of that interview? It’s getting better that’s for sure!
Who’s heading to Winnipeg tomorrow for Stop #2 on the PBR Canada Canadian Cup Series? Who’s your pick for the win? Do you agree with Brett and I in our interview video?

Looking forward to hearing your comments!

Really enjoyed the show last night. I missed a lot of it due to people constantly getting up and down during the show. In future, you should announce that there will be an intermission and that people should refrain from disturbing others peoples views during the show. This is just common consideration for other people. Thank you
Hey Susan,
It’s great to hear you enjoyed the show. It’s unfortunate that you missed as much as you did. I’m not part of the PBR staff so I’m not really able to tell them that. I think the best way to get your point across would be to tell them your thoughts on their Facebook and Twitter pages. If I were in the office I would do my best to listen and make it a better show! Those social media outlets are your best bet though as they do change things from the response they get there!
Thank you for your comment. I hope you are able to make it to many more PBR Events in the future!
