Patten – Pollitt Performance Horse & Production Sale August 19th, 2012

Eckville, AB: If you are in the market for a new rope or ranch horse, look no further than this August at the Patten & Pollitt Performance Horse and Production Sale.

Some of the greatest bloodlines you will find in Canada can be found at this years sale.

Three generations of Patten’s & Pollitts are now involved with the raising and training of these horses.

As the third generation himself, Ty Patten is a name you will probably recognize from the rodeo arena. He’s got a few horses in this year’s sale. Also, Ty has had the high selling horse on two different occasions (2010 & 2012) at the Northlands Performance Horse Sale held each March during the Farm & Ranch Show. Both were personally trained by him.

Ty’s Dad Rory told today about the most unique part about their August 19th sale. It’s the seven day unconditional guarantee on all broke horses sold.

“It takes all the risk away from buying at an auction.” Rory explained.

Adding to that guarantee is the fact that all the horses in the sale have been ranched on.

“They’ve been roped on, drug calves to the fire. They are all used outside. Theres a lot of ranch work into them before they ever come to the sale. Most of the team roping horses have been hauled and competed on.” Rory added.

Now in it’s fourth year, after taking a year off each year in between, this year’s sale will feature 50 lots.

The preview starts at 10:00am.

Selling will start at 1:00pm with the horses in the sale actually being roped on at the Pollitt Ranch as they are being sold.

There will be a few yearlings and colts in the sale as well for those of you looking for a great young prospect.

As the poster says, there will be lots of color in this year’s sale.

This year’s sale will take place at the Pollitt Ranch near Eckville as mentioned before. From Eckville it’s 6 miles North on 766 to Highway 12, then 6 miles West to Withrow Road, and another 1/2 a mile South.
