Lawrence Qualifies For First Olympic Winter Games

OTTAWA, Ontario — Kennedy, Saskatchewan figure skater Paige Lawrence and her partner Rudi Swiegers qualified today for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia dues to their third place finish at today’s Figure Skating Championships of Canada.

Paige’s Dad, Stock Contractor Jim Lawrence of Prime Time Rodeo, was extremely pleased with tonight’s result as he posted the following to Facebook after the event wrapped up.

“I am a proud as a DAD can be! Soooo happy for my little girl! No one deserves it more! Thank-you for all the support and congratulations from everyone.” –  Jim Lawrence

The 22nd edition of the Olympic Winter Games begin on Friday February 7th, concluding on the 23rd.
