Brian Hervey proved once again that the world needs more cowboys by capitalizing on one of only a couple of last minute re-entry positions to earn himself the lion’s share of the purse at what was a spectacular event at the Airdrie rodeo grounds on Saturday night.
Brian rode the Girletz Rodeo Bull 971 Gypsy Ride for a solid 86 points to win the long round and pick up $1140.00. Brian also rode Wonder Lust (Honky Tonk Rodeo – Allen Girletz) for an 85.5 in the short round to earn himself a real unique average buckle and event title. Cawl Braithwaite won the short round with an 87.5 score on Adams Family which is owned by Thompson Rodeo; winning $2090.00 in the short round alone.
