#EC12of12 – Number Nine “90’s in Sask”

Drayton Valley, AB: Both these rides took place in Saskatchewan and they were both outstanding. Both events were also part of the 3D Bullriding Tour  as well.

This year’s SIGA 3D Bullriding Tour Champion Aaron Roy had two of those 90 point or better rides. This one in Prince Albert at the Clunie-Cooper Memorial was one of them. Devon Mezei rode the Calgary Stampede bull Pawn Star about a month before for one of those other 90’s. This time with Aaron it was a point and a half better.

Aaron and I did about three interviews that day too but it turned out my microphone wasn’t turned on for any of them so it didn’t pan out. This win was a big part of the start to Aaron’s year. He had another big ride at the next 3D event that was named after himself. 89.5 points was the result on the Braithwaite Ranches’ PBR Canada Bull of the Year, Jackson James.

It wasn’t enough though to get the win as Stetson Lawrence teamed up with the Two Bit Bucking Bull and PBR World Finals qualifier Bucking Fantastic.

Both 91.5 point rides were tied for the second highest scored rides in Canada in all of 2012. Stetson had this to say after the event in Asquith at the end of May.

Josh and Tamara Berezay and their daughters Nevada and Montana own “BF” as they call him. Josh and I talked about the bull and the ride that night in Asquith.

That’s it for number nine on the countdown. If you’ve missed any of them so far, go back to the home page ad scroll down to find them! Tomorrow we see number eight. It’s only three more sleeps till Christmas too!!
