#EC12of12 Number Five – Pozzobon comes back from CFR Wreck to win PBR Canadian Finals

Jasper, AB: Ty Pozzobon may have needed a break after the wreck he got in at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in Edmonton in November. It wasn’t a very good deal and it didn’t look very good either. Ty didn’t seem like himself the next day, it’s too bad he wasn’t 100% to go at his first Canadian Championship. In the end, it’s probably left him in a spot where he’s going to want it even worse this coming year. For a guy in his early 20’s he’s got a lot of CFR’s left to compete at.

Second place isn’t too shabby either especially in nearly a $70,000 season in the CPRA alone. Round Five is where you’ll see that wreck on the Calgary Stampede’s Bull Durham.

Pozzobon may have been a close second at the CFR but he had a shot to win the PBR’s Canadian Championship a short five days later in Saskatoon, SK. In Round One he drew Battle River’s Whisky Hangover.

Kin Deadly of the Vold’s came next in Round Two in Saturday Night.

Ty matched up with the previously unridden True Blood in the Short Go. 87.5 points was the result, edging out Josh Birks for the event title.

This is what he had to say after the event.

That’s it for number five on the #EC12of12. Check back tomorrow for number four!
