Calgary, AB: There were a number of 90 plus point rides this year that we caught on film. Some that might not have been 90 either but should have been. It’s tough to put these two rides in the number eleven spot but there were so many huge moments this year that this is where they will sit. Go ahead and make your comments. It will help in the decision making process for next year!
Ty Pozzobon took on the then, Ellie Skori bull Gingas Kong in Manor, SK at the Manor Fun Daze PBR in July the week after the Calgary Stampede. Gingas Kong was impressive all year and had yet to be ridden. Ty made one of the biggest efforts of the year but came up short for the win.
The week later he got his revenge on Gingas Kong, now owned by the Calgary Stampede, picking up the win by a mile in Oyen, AB at the White Lightning Dodge Pro Cowboy Crunch as the only man to ride two. 90 points was the result.
With another 90 point ride, in the eleventh spot we have Zane Lambert and the Kesler Rodeo’s now NFR qualifier, CPRA Bull of the Year and Bull of the CFR, Whiskey Jack. It was back in Medicine Hat, AB in April when Zane rode the big red horned bull even with no hands at the end. This was one of those ones that could have been a few more points in my opinion. Zane finished just out of this year’s CFR but will surely be there in 2013.
2012 PRCA World Champ Cody Teel won his only round of the finals on Whiskey Jack in Round Three only about ten days ago. Whiskey Jack will surely be back for more CFR and NFR titles.
Tomorrow we will unveil number ten on the Everything Cowboy top 12 of 2012. Stay tuned to see what it’ll be!
