Camrose, AB: When Scott Schiffner stepped off the Outlawbuckers’ red and brindle muley they call Red Stag last night in the opening performance of the Camrose Spring Classic Pro Rodeo at the C.R.E., he was surprised.
Last year, Jason Finkbeiner rode a much more smooth Red Stag for an 86 to place high in the rodeo. He didn’t win though as Schiffner won Camrose last year with an 88 on Outlawbuckers’ Up Tight.
Scott said last night in an interview that the win at the start of the year led to a great season. With the Canadian Championship and Cowboy of the Year Award win in 2012, there’s not much more he could win in 2013 in all honesty.
A win in Camrose looks very likely after this ride last night at the Camrose Regional Exhibition.
The second performance in Camrose goes tonight at 7:00pm and wraps up Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm.

From Houston, Straws Milan made it back to today’s Championships out of last night’s Wild Car Round. He joins Curtis Cassidy and Lindsay Sears all with a shot at the win today starting at 3:30pm Central.
I’m headed to the Horseshoe Cup today. I’m doing my best to keep you all updated from Houston as I know how our three contestants do.
Until then, the CPRA has a hockey game to win!
