STEPHENVILLE, Texas (October 15, 2013) – Wrangler National Finals Rodeo and Canadian Finals Rodeo qualifier, 11 year old gelding “Harley”, has released his first children’s book, HARLEY: BIRTH OF A CHAMPION (, available both online and through extended distribution networks beginning tomorrow. 

Based on the true story of Lee Ann Rust, Women’s Professional Rodeo Association’s (WPRA) 2011 Rookie of the Year,HARLEY: BIRTH OF A CHAMPION follows the first years in the life of an international champion rodeo horse.  The story, as told to his owner Lee Ann Rust of Stephenville, TX, is a heart-warming straight-from-the-horse’s-mouth tale recounting their exciting journey as they earn their way to top competition levels in the world of professional rodeo’s elite athletes. 

From the opening chapter when Harley hears his Mama Lee Ann’s first words at his birth, this children’s read spills forward with the touching relationship between a rider and her horse.  This book stands as the first endeavor in an anticipated series filled with Harley’s adventures and challenges sweetly sprinkled with lessons and truth.
