Canadian Classic Production Sale to Feature Top Bloodlines

Innisfail, AB: On June 11th, 2013 at the Innisfail Auction Mart, The Fifth Annual Canadian Classic Production Sale takes place beginning at 7:00pm. Nine of Canada’s top bucking bull breeders have come together to bring their top genetics to you.

As the sale catalogue reads: “Not often do you get the chance to purchase genetics such as Troubadour, Asteroid and Wolfman crossed with top Canadian genetics.” It’s true. With some of those  aforementioned bulls, these genetics crossed with some of the best in Canada have likely never been offered to the public before. Now it’s your chance.

“We have brought the cream of the crop to town.  We feel strongly that there is something here for everyone.” Kelly Armstrong writes in the catalogue speaking of the stock to be sold. “The genetics stack very very deep in the cattle that will be offered for sale.”

Cattle is available all day for viewing with a social beginning at 4:00pm.

At the sale there are offerings of, anything from elite embryo calves to yearling heifers, yearling bulls, two year old heifers, two year futurity bulls, bred cows, cow-calf pairs, breeding and bucking bulls, and semen lots as well.

Some of the highlight lots in Armstrong’s opinion are the heifer and bull calf that are direct decedents of Wolf Man, the only bull to ever be ridden for the perfect score of 100 points.

On the female side, the heifer and bull calf are out of the Armstrong herd’s superstar mother -57.

“When you talk about our embryo program, -57 and her powerful cow family have become the heartbeat of our program. -57 is a full sister and flush mate to +57 Garfield.” Kelly went on further to say “She’s a twelve year old cow that’s the mother to five bulls currently riding the truck that are all four year old bulls. That’s a stat we’ve never seen from one of our females before.”

Adding to those highlights are a Asteroid bull calf out of a Troubadour daughter. Another being a yearling bull calf that’s out of Mr. Juicy and the Dam to NFR Qualifier Skippy’s Fine Line.

“Mr. Juicy is a Kish Bull that has turned out to be an ABBI Supersire. Mr. Juicy is a son of Too Legit. Don Kish sells semen from that bull for $20,000 a straw.” Kelly added. “That’s pretty much the coolest stuff we’ve got going here.”

All lots come from the following consignors: Cody Adamus, Michael Daines, Lorne High, Kendal McDonald, Curtis Sawyer, Allan Shields, Annette Smith, and Rees Smith.
