Bull Riders Canada Inc. Open Doors to Inaugural Season

Calgary, AB: Bull Riders Canada Inc. (BRC Inc.) was founded in January of 2013 with a goal to become the main sanctioning body of Bull Riding Events all across Canada with added prize money ranging from $2,000 to $10,000. The BRC, Inc. believes that in order to reach that goal, the Association must allow industry participants, including but not limited to; contestants, contractors, bullfighter, announcer, judges, committees, fans, sponsors and promoters, to progress and grow, maximizing their potential and the potential of the sport.

Since January 1st, 2013, for the 2013 season alone, the BRC, Inc. has received a commitment to sanction over  12 events throughout Western Canada. In addition, discussions are being held to expand into Manitoba and beyond within the first year. The BRC, Inc. expects to facilitate a minimum of $80,000 in payouts during the 2013 Season at these events alone.

At the point of inception, the BRC Inc. has the goal of becoming the largest public, Canadian-owned and operated bull riding organization in Canada.

“The BRC, Inc. has put together a fantastic Board of Directors who have dedicated many months of resources into ensuring that the Association is built upon fundamental values such as: integrity, transparency, reliability predictability and proactivity.” Russell Friend, BRC, Inc. President added. “In addition, to the fantastic list of experienced Directors, the BRC, Inc. maintains the overwhelming support of several Committees and other industry stakeholders.”

The BRC Inc. supports local, hometown bull riding venues by providing affordable options to having a bullriding event in their area. The BRC, Inc. has a tested and proven strategy in place which allows committees to have a bullriding event while maintaining the ability to raise money for their local case, in turn providing a venue for all other stakeholders to utilize.

“We intend to continue to include the ideas of all our members and partners to ensure our viability and growth for many years to come!” Friend finished.

  1. What’s your advertising rates? I am the author of the award winning book “The Bionic Bullrider” In it are a couple stories of World Champion Canadian bronc rider Mel Coleman, and several times NFR qualifier Ivan Daines. Folks tell me after reading my book that it is the best one ever written about rodeo and cowboys. Teenagers tell of how the book has inspired them, ten year olds say it is the best they have ever read. Others have said the same. I make mention of a few Canadian rodeos which I competed in. My next book signing will be during the Silver Spurs Rodeo, Kissimmee, FL. Feb 15-17, You can read my bio and more about the book at the website. Thank you.
