$20,000 Added at 2013 Travis Winquist Memorial Bronc Riding

OYEN, Alberta — On October 11th, 2013 starting at 6:00pm the Travis Winquist Memorial Bronc Riding will payout $20,000 in added prize money, thus making it one of the highest paid bronc riding events in all of Canada.

There you’ll see the likes of top CFR and NFR Bronc Riders and Bucking Stock. 30 will compete in the Long Go with a top six “Pick Your Poison” Short Go concluding the event.

Entries are completely open as the event is not sanctioned by any association. You can do so by calling organizer Bart Winquist at 780-581-4267 on September 23rd.

A sponsor Meet and Greet BBQ starts off the days events with the bronc riding draw done by each sponsor at 2:00pm.

Last year’s champion was young gun, Coleman Watt who took home over $7,500 when the event had $15,000 added. It’s sure to go up this year. You can watch the highlights and read all about it here.

You’ll also see sheep riding and this year’s Wild Pony Races are sponsored again by Wild West Environmental Ltd. There are custom made buckles from Tyrel Jensen up to win.
