INNISFAIL, Alberta — Number five on the Everything Cowboy countdown of the worst wrecks of 2014 is kind of ironic.

Steven Turner, no stranger to this countdown, got hit in the eye by a John Duffy bull called No Seeum at the Glencross Charity Roughstock Invitational this past August.

Turner would ride again not long after, his eye healed up, and the event at the Daines Ranch ended up raising over $300,000 for Hockey Alberta and the Ronald McDonald House of Central Alberta. I’m glad to have been a part of the event this year. In only three years it has raised over $770,000 for charity.

Speaking of that second time on the countdown for Turner, this one was the wreck of the year in 2013 though it actually happened on New Years Eve on the last day of 2012.

You may have already seen it…

Here’s to you hitting up the highlight side of the countdown in 2015 Steve!

Remember that there are two events on New Years Eve coming up this Wednesday. In Ponoka the New Years Eve Bucking Bash features both saddle bronc and bull riding while Canada’s Ultimate Cowboy takes place at the Agrium Western Event Center in Calgary, AB starting at 8:45pm.

Check them on the right hand side of the site!
