World Champions Rodeo Alliance Announces Front Office Staff Updates
AUSTIN, Texas- Today, The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) named Casey Duggan WCRA Director of Rodeo Operations and Administration while Dale Davis was named point person in the sales and service department. The two staff additions will be joined by Rob Smets, who will take lead in the alliance relations realm.
“We are thrilled about the group we’ve assembled,” said WCRA President Bobby Mote. “Each of these additions bring a unique set of skills and experiences that will not only greatly impact the success of our staff, but also our athletes as we look to continue developing further opportunities for rodeo industry competitors, stakeholders and fans.”
Casey Duggan joins the WCRA as director of rodeo operations and administration after a long rich history in the western sports industry. Duggan most recently has spent the last eight and a half years with Professional Bull Riders (PBR), where he served as director of special events.
Prior to his stint with PBR, Duggan was general manager for Bad Company Rodeo where he produced high-quality professional rodeos and bull riding events throughout Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico.
Duggan’s resume also includes a six year stretch with US Smokeless Tobacco, acting as metro market supervisor. The Texas natives career comes full circle, after starting his western sports career with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) where he had a wide variety of tasks from entering athletes in rodeos across the nation to processing stock draws.
After 30 years in the rodeo arena, five-time world champion bullfighter, Rob Smets joins the WCRA Staff leading the charge in the alliance partner relations department. The ProRodeo Hall of Fame Inductee (2006) was a 17-time National Finals Rodeo Bullfight Qualifier on top of being a nine-time PBR World Champion Bullfighter.
Following his years in the arena, Rob worked on-air and as an in-arena announcer for PRCA and PBR events.
Dale Davis has spent the last four years with Priefert Rodeo and Ranch Equipment where he won multiple awards pertaining to sales and service. Davis’ history in the western lifestyle runs deep from competing as an athlete, to ranching to announcing.
After starting the podcast and social media site “Pro Rodeo Insider”, Dale connects with the WCRA team to ensure all athletes and alliances receive the best experience possible.
