Falher, ALBERTA — We are well into June and the summer run is now in full swing. With the amount of bull ridings on the horizon there is potential for some cowboys to pick up a ton of points over the next few weeks.

Tomorrow night in Falher is the first opportunity for the riders to get things rolling heading into summer. This event features some of Canada’s top talent from bother the bull and rider side of the things.

The 2nd annual Pokey’s PBR Bullriding goes down Friday at 7pm. Tickets range from $50-$70 and are available at various locations throughout the area.

Here is a look at some of my key matchups for the night:

Todd Chotowetz vs. 537 Can’t Catch Me

Todd is guy who has really began to heat up over the past few weeks. After some success at the Monster Energy Tour events out east and a huge 91.5 point ride at the Leduc Pro Rode he is going to be one to watch heading into cowboy Christmas. He has drawn an awesome bull from the Wild Hoggs crew called  Can’t Catch Me, Todd should have no trouble with this dude! Look for him to be back for the championship round.

Will Purcell vs. 009 Honky Sam

It is good to see Will back in Canada after heading back down under for the winter months. Will is an extremely talented guy and is tough to beat when he gets rolling. He is matched up against the ol campaigner Honky Sam from the Eno family. Honky Sam is a bull that has been around for a while now and when he gets rode it is usually for a big score. If Will can get it put together we should see that trend continue here.

Jared Parsonage vs. 500 Swagger

The number one man in the nation will be looking to extend his lead tomorrow night in Falher. Jared has been on a absolute tear so far this season with no signs of slowing down. He has also drawn a bull from the Eno family, Swagger isn’t a bull I know too much about but I’m sure he will be great like all the other bulls that’s the Eno’s bring to town. Jared is always a threat to win an event and tomorrow night will be no exception.

Jake Gardner vs. 2 Border King

The 2108 Canadian All Around Champion has had himself a pretty decent start to the 2019 season. Jake is riding really consistent right now and making a ton a great bull rides. Border King is a cool bull that comes from my pal James Foley from up in that Lloydminster country. On paper he should fit Jakes style perfectly and we could see a big time score here!
