Rio Preto Rodeo Show 2011

The Rio Preto Rodeo Show is coming up in a few short weeks. It is set to take place April 6-10th and feature contestants from 5 different countries around the world. The bull riders will be competing for a total of $15,000 over the 5 day rodeo the bronc riders, bareback riders and barrel racers will be competing for about $5,000. All of the expenses for these contestants are paid for in a type of rodeo format resembling the biggest ones in Canada and the United States.

The5 International Contestants will compete against 30 Brazilians in the first 4 days of competition. The final day will feature the top 5 Brazilians against the International Cowboys in a shoot out where the winner takes home $3,000 USD. It will be a very great event featuring some of Canada and the United State’s top Contestants. Good Luck to everyone competing!

At this point, Canada will be represented by:

  • Tanner Girletz – Bull Riding
  • Chad Besplug – Bull Riding
  • Kyle German – Bull Riding
  • Billy Richards – Saddle Bronc
  • Cole Goodine – Bareback * Tentative

The United States has the following competitors set to compete so far also:

  • Terikay Liebrand – Barrel Racing
  • Stetson Lawrence – Bull Riding
  • Wyatt Hancock – Bareback Riding * Tentative
  • Ty Hamaker – Bull Riding and Saddle Bronc
