FORT WORTH, Texas — Regina, Saskatchewan bareback rider Ty Taypotat moved to second in the aggregate at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on Wednesday night at the Will Rogers Coliseum.
After scores of 77, 80 and 79 in rounds one to three respectively, Taypotat sits one point back of Idaho’s Kash Wilson who’s in the lead at 237 points. Taypotat, a Canadian Finals Rodeo Qualifier, sits placing in all three rounds currently and should get back to the short go in contention.
Manitoba athletes Colin Adams and Orin Larsen look to pick up some money too. Larsen leads round two while Adams is second and Larsen now sits fifth in the aggregate after being pushed down a spot by Taypotat.
Bull rider Jordan Hansen had a shot to connect and move to the lead however he came up short tonight. He does leave sitting second in that first round which could catch a check.
2014 World Champion Fallon Taylor and Babyflo overtook the lead in the barrel racing moving down Canadian Champion De Guelly to a tie for second in the first round.
