Pro Rodeo Update – January 27th, 2016

Through the first few bigger paying winter rodeos of the 2016 Pro Rodeo season, five Canadians rank inside the top 15 in their respective events.

Kyle Bowers leads the Canadian charge currently ranked third of all bareback riders in the PRCA. this ranking comes thanks to a second place finish at the National Western Stock Show in Denver.


Steer wrestler Clayton Moore ranks 14th so far thanks to a check worth almost $3,600 in the Mile High City. Three Canadian bronc riders are inside the top 15 so far. They are Jake Watson, fifth; Tyrel Larsen, ninth and Clay Elliott who is 14th. Elliott had success in Denver last year and earned $3,500 this time around.

Team ropers Levi Simpson and Jeremy Buhler took fourth in the Denver aggregate adding $3,979 to their 2016 campaigns. Simpson is 19th of all headers currently while Buhler is 16th. Adam Jamison holds down the 23rd spot of all bull riders in the PRCA having won $4,500 on the year so far.
