A Tough Go in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — It’s been a while since we’ve had three Canadians on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. Tonight, Tanner Byrne, Ty Pozzobon and Zane Lambert all competed at bull riding’s top level.

In addition to the three, Australian cowboy, Josh Birks, who spends a lot of time in Canada and has done very well in our country is made his BFTS debut on a bull originally from north of the 49th. That was one that used to be called Butterfly Effect and is now called Tarentino and owned by Bar 3D Bucking Bulls.

Tanner Byrne has ridden all six bulls he’s been on so far in the Built Ford Tough series. I’m still not sure on the facts there but I think that could be a record. He went looking for number seven but came up short, the same story held true for Lambert, Pozzobon and Birks.

Douglas Duncan and Silvano Alves tied for the round win with matching 87 point scores. Only five qualified rides were made all evening.
