NEW YORK, New York — Reigning PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney won yet another event today as he tied for the win with Fabiano Vieira at Madison Square Garden in what was the first event of the 2014 season.

J.B. has now won the past five events in a row dating back to last season and as ridden 15 consecutive bulls which ties the record Terry Don West set in 1998. I think that’s impressive as the consistency of the bulls has gotten much better in my opinion. I would bet his average score would be quite high in those 15 rides. There’s no telling how many he will ride. How many do you think he can make 8 on in a row from this point on?

Guilherme Marchi finished third at the event with Ryan Dirteater and Mike Lee rounding out the top five respectively.

Ty Pozzobon would have made the championship round but was injured and opted out. This is all we know on the injury at this point. He finished in 13th place at the event.
