DENVER, Colorado — 2013 PBR Canadian Champion Zane Lambert finished in a tie for sixth at the Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division Finale held in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show.
Lambert made it to the second round after a lower score in the first round. In that second round he scored 87.5 on D&H Cattle Company’s Clubber Lane for the top spot and a check for $3,528. A buck off in the Championship Round didn’t improve his position in the average however he finished sixth and picked up another $2,470 for $5,998 at the three day event.
An outstanding year on the TPD front left Chase Outlaw with the year end title, with all the points Lambert won in Canada on the season, it left him in second place. A feat quite impressive for not crossing the border to the United States very often. He has upwards of eight bulls left to ride this weekend between two more events.
Stormy Wing won the Denver event title highlighted by his 91 in the finals on The Rocker owned by Wyatt Crowder. The rocker was the bull that won the Classic competition at October’s PBR World Finals in Las Vegas.
“I’d never seen that bull before,” Wing told Denver media rep Susan Kanode. “They told me he would be back around to the right and he did everything they said he would do. I like bulls to the left, but he felt really good and this is a confidence builder.”
Wing took home over $27,000 for his efforts.
The PBR’s Touring Pro Division makes a stop tonight in Pueblo, CO along with events in Spokane, WA and Montgomery, AL. The top 35 in the world head to Georgia this weekend for the Built Ford Tough Series’ third stop of the season.
