LAS VEGAS, NV — Five Canadian Bucking Bulls have been selected to perform at the 2oth Anniversary Professional Bull Riders World Finals at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from October 23rd to 27th, 2013.
Those five bulls include Two Bit Bucking Bulls’ 867 Bringing Sexy Back, Wild Hoggs/Corey Chmelnyk’s 917 Pound The Alarm, Vold/Wallgren/Schultz/Prescott’s U1 True Blood, Vold’s 22 Proline Power and last but not least, the now four time PBR World Finalist, Vold’s 400 VJV Slash.
With the PBR Canadian National Finals taking place in Saskatoon, SK on October 18th and 19th, this brings in a bit of a challenge for the bulls that will make the trek. Most bulls are required to check into Las Vegas to the bull housing center by no later than Monday morning which this year is the 21st. Logistically this would be impossible for these five bulls as they couldn’t even cross the Canadian/American border until Monday Morning.
PBR Canada promoter, Jason Davidson informed PBR Stock Director Cody Lambert of this. To make up for the issue we will see these five bulls out later in the week at the World Finals to give them ample rest after the some 25 hour drive.
“I’m proud to see this many top caliber bulls headed to the PBR World Finals once again. It goes to show just how great of bulls we have up here.” Davidson told.
Stock Contractor Nansen Vold has three bulls with his family name on them making their way to Las Vegas this year. Never done before is a Canadian Bull qualifying for the World Finals four times in a row. This adds to an already mile long list of accomplishments for the superstar bovine, 400 VJV Slash.
“We are very happy to hear Slash is returning to the PBR World Finals for the fourth straight year. With this being his final season, this means a great deal to Duane (Robinson) and I that Slash will finish his retirement in style.” Nansen went on to say.”Slash has been the foundation to our breeding program and has made us who we are as contractors. Thanks to everyone from riders, contractors, fans and event organizers for recognizing him as one of the best ever.”
