Delburne, AB: The final three stops of the 2012 Elite Professional Bullriders season are coming fast. Josh Birks leads the standings just over $2,000 ahead of Saturday’s Glen Keeley Memorial Ring recipient and one of the best bull riders of all time, Beau Hill. Beau has won less but been to only two, maybe three events thus far so he’s a bit behind in points luckily for him there’s lots to make up at the finals in Butte, MT this coming February.
Friday will bring in the third last stop in Delburne, AB just thirty minutes East of Red Deer. That very same arena that hosted the Three Barrels, Two Hearts, Onematch.ca Celebrity Barrel Race two weeks ago today.
A trophy buckle and $3,000 in added money will be split up between the top riders or the 30 competing who will take on the best of the Flying High Rodeo Co, Rafter G Cattle Co, Skori and Sawyer Bucking Bulls that will be brought to town.
Wes Cummings will call the action as each rider exits their respective Priefert Chute. Ty Prescott and Carter Strohschein will act as the cowboy lifesavers while Marty Ward and Carter’s older brother Matt will judge who makes the best rides of the evening.
For those staying the night you’ll want to contact the Delburne Hotel for a room.
As a special event there will be a Meet and Greet dinner for those interested in meeting the stars of the EPB.
