Tulsa, OK: Due to his win of the July PBR Canada Built Ford Tough Series Incentive, Meadow Lake Saskatchewan’s Cody Coverchuk was invited to this weekend’s Express Employment Professionals Classic.
In Round One he faced Big Rock Star coming down in 5.15 seconds. Unfortunately for Cody, when he was bucked off, his landed wrong and tore his MCL.
“I’m getting on tomorrow and will just be taking some time off when I get back to Canada. Got a good bull tomorrow and I have to take the opportunity when I have it!” Cody told in a message on Facebook tonight. All the best to him tomorrow in making the best of the invite.
A similar incentive is being held starting next week between the Coronation Royal Rumbull on August 21st and the Glen Keeley Memorial in Stavely, AB on the 31st. The high money winner between those two events will be invited to an event coming up later in the fall.
Leading thus far from Tulsa is Brendon Clark on his farewell tour, retiring at the end of the season. Tonight he was 88.75 points on Breakdown, a bull owned in part by Randy Quarteri and his family.
Chase Outlaw and Kasey Hayes are second and third respectively with 86 and 85.75 points each.
After the summer break, the BFTS has returned and concludes at the 20th Anniversary of the PBR World Finals which are held in October of this year from the 23rd to the 27th.
The final two rounds form Tulsa begin Saturday Night at 8:00pm CST.
