Borealis Rodeo Team Fares Well on Day 1

Calgary, AB – What a way to kick off the Calgary Stampede for the Borealis Rodeo Team. In one of the first events of the day, Bareback Rider Ryan Gray of Petersburg, TX took the win with an 87 point ride on the Kesler horse Starburst. Fellow bareback rider Jason Havens finished out of the money with a 79 point ride.

Novice Bareback Rider Cole Goodine of Carbon, AB is in the lead in the Novice also with a big 79 point ride today. Dillion Ritter failed to make the 8 second whistle.

Bull Rider Jesse Torkelson made it to 7.97 seconds in the bull riding on the Calgary Stampede bull White Knight but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades so he didn’t place. Look for Jesse to do big things the rest of this week.

Last night after the rodeo the Team made their way down to Desperado’s Bar and were treated great. Jesse Torkelson, Ryan Gray, Jason Havens, Steven Dent and Cole Goodine want to thank the Managment and Staff there at Desperado’s Bar for a great evening of fun celebrating Ryan’s Round Win and that Cole is in the lead in the Novice Bareback! Members from the Borealis Rodeo Team and True Grit Rodeo Consulting will be there each night after the rodeo signing autographs and meeting with the crowd.

So make your way down to Desperado’s Bar to meet them and enjoy live music nightly until 8 pm!

The Pool A Team competes through until Monday. The Rodeo Saturday starts at 1:30pm.
