31 January 2016

It was only a matter of time before Tanner Byrne won his first PBR Built Ford Tough Series event. It couldn’t have happened at a better place either.

A number of Byrne’s family members were in attendance, including his Dad, Ryan who helped him on his bulls. Childhood friend and member of the Anaheim Ducks, Josh Manson, was also on hand for the event.

Byrne was the only man to ride all four bulls at the Anaheim Invitational highlighted by an 86.5 on Doc Mosley in the Championship Round. For his efforts, the 2015 PBR Canadian Champion takes home $32,050 USD which converts over to over $44,000 Canadian today.

At 23 years old, 2016 is only his second entire season on the BFTS. His 570 points earned this weekend also move him way up to sixth in the PBR’s World Standings with over $44,000 USD earned on the year thus far.

Congratulations on your win Tanner!

Next up on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series Schedule is the Sacramento Invitational on February 5th and 6th.
