Byrne First Canadian to Qualify for RFD-TV’s The American

PUEBLO, Colorado — As the highest placing finisher paying his fees for a potential qualification to RFD-TV’s The American, Tanner Byrne now has a shot at a $1,000,000 payday March 2nd at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX.

Anyone had a shot but it would cost them an extra $500 on top of their entry fees at this evening’s PBR Touring Pro Division Event in Pueblo, CO. Byrne took that shot and it panned out. A score of 87 on D&H Cattle’s Kings of Leon to leave him second in the long go, wasn’t enough for the win but gave him a shot at even more in about six more weeks.

“I was disappointed about bucking off in the short go until they told me the guys in front of me didn’t pay their $500 so I took the spot.” Said Byrne. “It’s pretty cool to get to be a part of that. It’s the opportunity of a life time. Now I’ve gotta go win it!”

Brady Sims was the event champion in Pueblo with 172 points on two bulls.
