Asquith, SK: The FRP Manufacturing Aaron Roy Invitational takes place on Thursday Night at the Asquith Sports Grounds Starting at 7:30pm.
Bull Riders compete for $10,000 in prize money for the third edition of the Aaron Roy Invitational. This is also the fourth stop on the 2013 SIGA 3D Bullriding Tour.
Onto some of Thursday’s match-ups, things start off great.
Tanner Girletz vs. BRZY 813 Danger Ranger – Tanner has been on this bull before and it went well. It was an 84 at the PBR Canadian Finals just down the road in Saskatoon. My bet is on an 85 or higher this time around as the Danger Ranger is fresh after a little while off the last month or so.
Aaron Roy vs. BRZY 761 Doom and Gloom – Aaron is currently in his best season ever on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. He made it clear that was his intent after winning his third PBR Canadian Championship last November. Doom and Gloom is a great little bull from the Two Bit string. I’m going with an 84 or more here.
Josh Birks vs. RFTB 1W First Buckle – Josh got back to his winning ways in Nipawin and this was the first time we saw this bull too. First Buckle tied for the highest bull score there too with a 44.5. My best is this match-up wins the long go.
Cody Coverchuk got on this bull in Nipawin.
Ty Elliot vs. RSGA 74 Abu – Abu has been a great bull for as long as I’ve seen him. Ty should be happy with this draw. Ty has been having a great spring thus far and should get the summer going just right here in Asquith.
Zane Lambert got on Abu last August in Eatonia but came up short.
