MANOR, Saskatchewan — On Saturday July 19th the Professional Bull Riders Touring Pro Division makes it’s way once again to the Manor Fun Daze. Starting at 5:30pm MST the event features $7,000 in added prize money plus a $1,500 bounty bull in the short go and another $1,000 to the highest marked ride in the short go.
Tickets are $20 at the gate featuring the Chris Henderson Band at the cabaret.
Come on out for a great night of bull riding action in Southeast Saskatchewan!
These are my thoughts on a few of the key match-ups for Saturday Night.
Scott Schiffner vs. Helping Out – Coming off a $100,000 win at the Calgary Stampede, Scott is riding great and drawing great as we can see here. Helping Out from Chris Hansen has been a great bull the past year and a bit we’ve seen him now. Even though he’s only been ridden 2 of 11 times according to ProBullStats.com, I give Schiffner the advantage here for an 85.
That was the same score Tanner Byrne was on the bull last year in Lashburn.
Billy West vs. Motown – Outside of the top 30 in the PBR Canadian Standings, Billy needs to do some winning and this is one bull to do it on. Two Bit’s Motown has been ridden 3 of 6 times according to ProBullStats.com for an average score of 85.5.
Most recently twice by Zac Peterson for and 84.5 in Winnipeg this spring and an 85.5 in Ponoka about a month ago. I’m betting on Billy here as he’s been winning some at the rodeos lately and that’s only going to happen more as the summer goes on.
Cody Coverchuk vs. Wanderlust – Currently second in the PBR Canadian Standings, Cody Coverchuk is in the hunt for a title and looking to get back to the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. Wanderlust from the Girletz’s has been ridden 4 of 9 times on ProBullStats.com for an average score of 83 points. I’m betting on Coverchuk getting anywhere from an 86 to 88 here.
About a month ago Mike Ostashek got piled up by this Girletz bull in Hillmond, SK at the Wade Redden PBR Challenge.
Ty Elliot vs. Major League – Major League from the Flying Four crew is sure a nice one to have for Ty Elliot. According to ProBullStats.com he’s been ridden 3 for 3 and for some good scores too. My money is on Ty getting himself back to the short round in a solid spot in this out.
Tyler Pankewitz scored 84.5 on this bull, also in Hillmond.
