Calgary, AB: I don’t fly down to Vegas until Tuesday, but Slade Long of ProBullStats.com tweeted this last week to Jesse Byrne about the draw for the PBR World Finals starting up on Wednesday.
@jb_bullfighter @Chad_besplug Chad's on 1415 Palm Springs. Ty on 513 Class 6 Kat – Zane Lambert on 73 Buck Wild

These are my thoughts on these match ups after looking at their stats and a video or two. It’ll be an awesome first night in Las Vegas. That’s for sure. Congratulations once again to all of this year’s finalists.
Thank you once again to 3D Bullriding Inc. for sponsoring the coverage for EverythingCowboy.ca while at the World Finals!
Chad Besplug vs. Circle T’s 1415 Palm Springs – Palm Springs is a former PRCA Bull of the Year, ridden two different times for 94 point scores at PRCA events. Chad’s going to have to do things right to get this one rode but he knows how to do it. If he rides this one he could win the round. Hasn’t been ridden yet in the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. There’s nothing like saying “Welcome to your first PBR World Finals” like drawing one of the best. LJ Jenkins matched up with this white horned bull in Pueblo, CO in May. It didn’t work out for him there.
As you can see though from Twitter as well, Chad’s excited.
World finals. 6 days. Las Vegas. Palm Springs. Hell yes.

Zane Lambert vs. C’N Stars’ 73 Buck Wild – This bull is one buckin’ jose from what I’ve seen and heard. Josh & Tamara Berezay of Two Bit Bucking Bulls told me about Buck Wild throwing off Dakota Beck back in June in Sidney, MT. He happened to put up a 48 point score in doing so. None of that did the bull any jstice until I watched it. Zane will have his hands full here but could darn sure make some history by riding this one for a huge score. Colby Yates has the only score recorded on him thus far on Slade’s website. That was from last spring in Billings, MT. As our Canadian representative, Zane will need to get himself into, and stay in the top 15 to continue through the whole finals. By riding, this one, he would be there till Sunday.
Aaron Roy vs. Gene Owen’s JC6 PFI’s Boot Daddy – This smaller looking white bull looks like he really fires from the video here where he throws off Brazilian Emilio Resende in Springfield, MO last month. Aaron won the SIGA 3D Truck less than a month ago and always does good at the World Finals. He’s the only man in the PBR to have qualified for the Championship Round at the World Finals for Four Consecutive years. “Wah” as “Roy” is sometimes pronounced as a nickname, could win himself some serious cash on the first night in Sin City on the Gene Owen bucker Boot Daddy. Austin Meier has been on him three times and rode him once for an 87 this year alone. Aaron will likely ride this one as he does very often at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Ty Pozzobon vs. Julio Moreno’s 513 Class 6 Kat – This big colored bull looks like he really moves forward a lot. LJ Jenkins was the last guy to ride him according to Probullstats.com for an 88 back in Nampa, ID in April. He’s put up some solid bull scores as of late but thus far, Ty’s got the best opportunity on paper to ride this one. Look for Ty to get himself a real good and big score in the first round. According to the scores, that was an off day when LJ rode him. It looks like he took too many direction changes in this video.
Let’s hear your thoughts and predictions for the rest of the rounds and how our Canadians will stack up.
See you Tuesday, Vegas.
