Las Vegas, NV: Round Four of the PBR World Finals starts at 6:00pm tonight from the Thomas & Mack Center on the Campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Besides Zane Lambert’s 84.25 from the first night, all the Canadians have been shut out. Hopefully tonight, their luck will change.
One thing is for sure, they have got some bulls to sure change their luck on.
Chad Besplug vs. FU202 Bring It: This bull has been one of the top in the PRCA for a few years now. I was out in the back pens and could recognize him pretty easily. He’s a big red and brown horned bull with a big neck on him and white under his belly. Bring it hasn’t been ridden much anywhere really but when he is ridden it’s for some big scores. That latest score being JW Harris and a 92.5 this past summer in Reno, NV. Chad must be getting a little frustrated with not having one covered yet. He’s been close a couple times now on some of the best bulls in the world. It’s a matter of time before he gets one rode.
Lachlan Richardson vs. WV400 VJV Slash: We all know exactly who Slash is. Lachlan Richardson does too because in order to get himself to the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series, he rode and won a ton of money in Canada back in the spring. Aaron Roy is the only right hander to my knowledge to ride Slash in recent history. He did it in fine fashion to the tune of 90.5 points to win the SIGA 3D Bullriding Tour Finals in Lloydminster, SK where he drove himself home a new truck. The highest scored ride of 2012 in the PBR in Canada was on Slash in Stavely when Josh Birks has his 92.5. Lachlan has got a one of the best ever from Canada here and is sure to get himself a big score.
Aaron Roy vs. TB849 Messy Mossy: Aaron has been having his worst finals in his entire career so far. Before this year, he’d made the Championship Round in four consecutive World Finals appearances. If he’s going to do that again, he needs to ride Messy Mossy and whatever he draws tomorrow after noon in round five. This same bull was out already in Round Two and got his rider on the ground in 4.53 seconds putting up a bull score of 43.5. Aaron will ride this one and get his finals rolling. Hopefully it’s not too little too late. Even so, there’s $50,000 in round money up.
Ty Pozzobon vs. HHT70 Shameless: Behind the chutes last night after coming down from his third strait, you could see Ty showing his frustration. His helmate could surely feel it too after being chucked the length of the alley. Ty knows he can ride any one of the bulls he’s been on but hasn’t been able to yet unfortunately. In seven outs on ProBullStats, Shameless has been ridden once for a 90.5 by Cody Ford. Cody rides with his left hand too so that should help Ty’s cause. What else will help is the fact that he’s been on this one before. This could be Pozzy getting some revenge and getting some revenge at the same time. It’s nearly always better to kill two birds with one stone.
