Marwayne, AB: John Jacobs won tonight’s Second Annual Marwayne PBR Presented by Baker Hughes with a total score of 169.5 on two in the Marwayne Arena in front of a full house.
Jacobs rode Thompson Rodeo’s Time Will Tell for an 86.5 and the event win in the Championship Round to pick up over $3,000 in prize money and a brand new trophy buckle.
Jacobs rode the Wild Hoggs 747 Back On Track Heaven for an 83 in the long go.
Announcer Brett Gardiner interviewed Timber Lake, South Dakota’s John Jacobs after the event.
New Zealand’s Adam Jamison finished in second place overall. In the finals he rode Thompson’s Off The Cuff for an 83 point score.
Ty Tescher of Sidney, MT scored 86.5 on Adams Family of Jim Thompson’s to win the long go. Unfortunately he was bucked off in the Championship Round yet he still finished in third place overall. When adding up his other score in the long go of 85 for a fifth place finished he won more money than Jacobs winning first.
Justin Lloyd, now wearing a hat rather than a helmet score 85.5 on Thompson’s Northern Lights to finish fourth overall after a buck off of his second bull.
After returning to the PBR after a year and a half absence, Brian Hervey came back well with this 84.5 on Wild Hogs 90 Chances Are.
Cody Coverchuk made a great ride on Ellie Skori’s Boilynn Hot.
In the Championship Round, Coverchuk faced the bull of the night, Xtreme Bucking Bulls 706 Butterfly Effect which took home that new buckle.
Tyler Pankewitz got the last check of the event after an 82 in the Long Go. In the finals he took on the next highest score bull of the event, Wild Hoggs’ 81 Axis Of Evil.
