What’s That Bull for the Ty Pozzobon Invitational PBR

MERRITT, British Columbia — Event namesake Ty Pozzobon joins us today to dive inside the bull pen.

His event, which takes place this Saturday, is already in it’s third year. $15,000 in added prize money is up for grabs and that doesn’t include the $2,500 bounty bull finishing the evening.

The evening starts at 5:00pm. Get your tickets and get there early as the grandstands fill up soon. Those tickets are available at Purity Feed in Merritt and Lammles in Kamloops. Adults are $25.00 and kids are $10.00.

Don’t forget the after party either hosted by the Merritt Centennials Hockey Club. It’s at the Merritt Memorial Arena and tickets are also available at Purity Feed for $15.00.

See you all on Saturday. Until there, here are Ty’s picks and a couple of mine too.

Aaron Roy vs. 911 2 Dark 2 C – Aaron wont mind traveling to Merritt to come get on this bull owned by the Wild Hoggs. This little bull should be as nice as they come, spins either way and he should be a walk in the park for Aaron. – Ty

Ty Patten vs. 724 Lost Wages – Wild Hoggs and myself bought this little bull a few years back and he has been really solid. Should turn back right into Patty’s hand. Look for a score in the 85 – 87 range. We decided Merritt would be his last trip. It’s his first event where his own son is bucking in an event with him (POZ 208 Lace Up). We figured it would be a good time to retire him since he’s turning into a good producer now. – Ty

Cawl Braithwaite vs. 081 Nearly Departed – According to the bull stats, this one has been ridden twice in six attempts. Most recently in Billings at the Built Ford Tough Series Event by both Reese Cates and Renato Nunes. For Cawl, this is the rubber match, both times before, 081 got him on the ground in 3.7 seconds or less. – Ted

Tyler Pankewitz vs. Aftershock – Wild hogs switched deliveries on After Shock, he will be there to left into Pank’s hand for a good score. – Ty

Tanner Byrne vs. 016 Catch Me If You Can – When you look up the word consistent in the dictionary you will see Krusty’s name beside it. Tanner rides everything and this is a good match. Nice little mule should spin to the left. – Ty

Ty Pozzobon vs. 0 Fidget – Fidget is a black bull of Girletz’ that should be around to the right. A bull like this is a pressure bull in front of my hometown. – Ty

Dusty Ephrom vs. 068 Blue Print – I haven’t seen Dusty in quite a while and I’m glad to see him back. He’s got to like this bull too. Usually Blue Print goes to the left and is a bull a guy can be 85 or more on. I’m betting on Team Ephrom. – Ted

Tanner Girletz vs. 962 Wanderlust – You would think Tanner rigged the draw here. Wanderlust should turn back into Tanner’s hand. If he falls off your allowed to point and laugh. – Ty

Tyler Thomson vs. 111U Buffalo Chips – If I write about Tyler he should show up, with this bull an eight-second ride would be worth the drive as he’d be in the short go for certain. Last time the two matched up, Tyler took second in round four of #CFR41 with an 88. – Ted

Scott Schiffner vs. v3 Pipeline – Pipeline will be around to right into Scott’s hand. You can never bet against Scott look for a solid score to get him back to the short round. – Ty
