Torkelson Gets Back to his Roots in Manor

Manor, SK: Jesse Torkelson was born in Regina and spent the first six years of his life in Bengough, Saskatchewan. Tonight, in Manor he got the win with 173.5 points on two bulls at the Seventh Annual Manor Fun Daze PBR.

Jesse took home the biggest share of the $8,000 in added prize money, a bronze and a Montana Silversmiths Trophy Buckle sponsored by Canelson Drilling Inc.

In the Short Go it was Prescott’s Propper Ripped for an 87.

Jesse also won the Long Go on another Prescott Bull, a pick of mine in Pirate Style, for the Long Go win with an 86.5.

Tork and I talked about the win concluding the event.

Tanner Girletz was second at the event after scores of 83.5 in the Long Go and 87.5 in the Short Go. Girletz took home an extra $1,000 bonus for the highest score in the Short Go thanks to Reliable Metal Buildings.

Scott Schiffner finished in third on the night highlighted by an 86.5 in the Short Go on Flying Four’s Alabama Shakes.

Tying with Schiffner overall was Chad Besplug. Chad needs to stay on more to make the finals so this worked out well for him. I think he could have been more points in the Short Go on this ride.

Rounding out the top five was Josh Birks with his 85.5 from the Long Go on Two Bit and Morton’s Hands Free.

Tanner Byrne took on Freckles for an extra $2,000 bonus if he could make the whistle courtesy of Grimes Sales and Service.

Jordan Hansen took another Wreck of the Night title home with this doozie.

Dale Claypool wasn’t far behind either.
