A Pair of 92’s Takes Outlaw to First Ever Smithbilt Hats Ty Pozzobon Invitational Championship
Merritt, BC: Hamburg, Arkansas’ Chase Outlaw won tonight at the first ever Smithbilt Hats Ty Pozzobon Invitational at the Merritt Rodeo Grounds. Outlaw thrilled the crowd with a 92 on Prescott’s Propped Ripped in the Long Go. In the Championship Round as the last man out he matched the highest score yet in 2013 in the PBR Canada Season.

This is what Chase had to say about the win after talking to Announcer, Dave Poulsen.
Kyle Lozier of 150 Mile House, BC won second at the event after scoring 87.5 on the Coyote Creek Cattle Company Bull, Duke Nukem.
Due to an 88 in the Long Go after a re-entry, Chase Outlaw also won third place.
Coming in fourth was Justin Lloyd for his 87.5 on the Prescott wild one, In Da Club.
Rounding out the top five were Josh Birks and Zane Lambert both in with 87’s.
Ty Elliot and Ty Pozzobon were seventh and eighth with matching 86.5 point scores.
According to a number of riders, in their opinion, Prescott’s 923 Aurora was the most impressive bull of the night in his out throwing off Three Time PBR Canadian Champion, Aaron Roy.
Over 3,500 people showed up to last night’s wildly successful first ever PBR in Merritt with hometown Cowboy Ty Pozzobon and his sponsor, Smithbilt Hats on the name. A huge thank you goes out to Ty’s Mom, Leanne for all the work she put into this event along with the whole family and everyone else who made this event what it was.
