Second in Iowa for Lambert

DES MOINES, Iowa — 2013 PBR Canadian Champion Zane Lambert finished in a tie for second at this weekend’s Built Ford Tough Series stop in Des Moines, Iowa. His first event of 2014 on the PBR’s BFTS was in Sacramento, CA where he was third, making this weekend’s performance his best yet at Bull Riding’s elite level.

A round win the first night on Prince Albert with an 87.25 and an 86.75 in today’s Championship Round gave him 174 points on two bulls worth $14,230. With that Lambert jumps up to 26th in the world standings having hearned $61,000 on the year now.


Before that round winning ride he got in a bit of a wreck with a bull and the chute gate.

Tanner Byrne got in a wreck in today’s Championship Round. Byrne made it there with his 83 from this afternoon and goes home with his expenses paid for the weekend with a check worth $1,020 for finishing 15th overall. On the season he’s now 20th, Ty Pozzobon is 27th.

This week we head to the Byrne Family’s hometown of Prince Albert, SK for this weekend’s Clunie-Cooper Memorial PBR. Tuesday and Wednesday Luke Snyder and Tanner’s older brother Jesse Byrne’s bull riding and bull fighting school.
