Pozzobon Unofficially Ensures First World Finals Qualification
Calgary, AB: After his win at last night’s PBR Touring Pro Event at the Ranchman’s, Ty Pozzobon will have about $50,000 in total money won thus far in 2012. He took home about $7,000 from taking first in the average as well as 5th. Scott Schiffner took home the next highest amount at nearly $5,000 for second in the average.
From what it’s taken in previous years, that $50,000 of Pozzobon’s should be about enough to qualify for the PBR World Finals.
A place that he was sick about not getting to go to last year. He was the first or second alternate and never got the call to ride.
With another 15 PBR Built Ford Tough Series Events to attend yet this fall he will likely win a lot more money. He’s already 17th in the BFTS Standings. What’s likely is that he won’t just make the World Finals, he will probably be in the top 20.
Especially since he’s got a shot to win over $100,000 in the coming eleven days at the Calgary Stampede.
It all starts tomorrow.
