Las Vegas, NV: There may be the highest number of Canadians ever this year at the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough World Finals staring on October 24th. The number has the ability to grow further this weekend as well.
Bull Riders Aaron Roy, Ty Pozzobon, Zane Lambert and Chad Besplug have already secured their spots. Kyle Lozier has the opportunity to win enough money to get himself there this weekend yet in Columbus, OH. He came down before the whistle last night, so his chances aren’t as great as they could be, but there is still a chance.
Jesse Byrne will once again be one of three bull fighters to act as cowboy protection for the World Finals. A few short years ago Jesse was the first ever Canadian Bullfighter to be selected to work that very event. This will now be his fifth appearance.
New this year to the Finals will be Jesse’s Dad, Ryan who’s been selected to judge. Congratulations Ryan!
Four Canadian Bucking Bulls will be making their way to Las Vegas at the end of next week to be part of the Thomas & Mack Five Day Finals. Now for the third time, Duane Robinson and Nansen Vold’s #400 VJV Slash will make yet another trip to Vegas for the PBR World Finals. After being ridden a few times up here in the past season, we could see a round win out of him.
861 Bucking Fantastic, 581 Jackson James and 701 Foul Play will all be making their first appearance at the PBR World Finals. It’ll be the biggest stage any of these bulls have ever seen. Josh & Tamara Berezay ranch raised the four year old black muley they call Bucking Fantastic. He’s a real showy bull that’ll likely thrill the crowds and be ridden for a big score of two in Vegas.
Braithwaite Ranch’s 581 Jackson James has nothing but improved this season here in Canada. He could get ridden for some big scores while at the Finals as well. The big brindle would have my vote for Bull of the Year in the PBR in Canada if I even had one too.
Another brindle in the Eno/Kubinchak bull 701 Foul Play has been impressive in 2012. Putting up the highest bull score in the PBR Canada this year vs. Stetson Lawrence in Eatonia (46.5 points out of 50) he’s been one the bull riders haven’t really got along with much yet. We will see if that’s the case in less than two weeks now.
Stay tuned for more on the PBR World Finals in these final weeks leading in as well as how the regular season for the PBR’s BFTS ends this evening in Columbus.
At the World Finals, you can look forward to nightly reports brought to you by 3D Bullriding Inc. Canada’s Leading Bull Riding Production Company.
