In the Bull Pen with Jason Davidson – Lashburn, SK August 10th, 2012

Lashburn, SK: Jason Davidson has been making way better picks than I have all year. These are his for the 9th Annual Brad Phipps Memorial PBR takes place tomorrow night, Friday, at 7:00pm. We will see how they turn out!

Stetson Lawrence vs PBW60 X’d Out – The last 3D event Stetson was at was the Aaron Roy Invitational and he finished the number one guy. Stetson sits number four in the 3D standings and has a great opportunity to gain some ground on Aaron Roy and Ty Pozzobon who are in the lead respectively.  I cannot tell you anything about the bull he has drawn but Barry Prescott is very high on his ability and expects big things out him.

Ted Stovin – This bull came from Derek Adam’s. This is his out last weekend up in Camrose, AB.

Beau Hill vs BCR24 California Raisin – Beau is another rider that can make a move on Roy, Pozzobon, Besplug and Byrne (they are competing at the Tulsa BFTS event this weekend). Beau sits 3rd in the 3D Standings and 6th in the PBR Canada Standings. BCR24 California Raisin is a little brindle muley bull that comes from Big Country Rodeo and should turn back both ways.  Riders are not getting by him when he goes back to the left but I wouldn’t bet against Beau Hill.

Ted- Dan Hansen vs. California Raisin in Oyen a few weeks ago. The flank fell off here so hopefully that doesn’t happen again.

Devon Mezei vs WV825 Feeling Blue – Devon has been having some tough luck drawing good bulls the last month on the rodeo trail. That wont be the case at the Brad Phipps Memorial PBR as he has been matched up with a solid spinner that will get him back to the championship round.  The Championship round will be featuring the likes of Braithwaite’s B2581 Wrangler’s Jackson James, Girletz’s PBR World Finals Bull GRS625 First Nation Sensation and the newly aquired Calgary Stampede bull, from Elli Skori, CALG703 Gingas Kong.

Ted- Devon winning the first 3D Tour stop of the year being the first man to ride Pawn Star.

Tyler Thomson vs BCRLR515 Murphy’s Law – here are two veterans that are going to duke it out… If there wasn’t a SIGA 3D Bullriding Tour Truck on the line I doubt we would even see Tyler in Lasburn friday night.  Tyler is still being nagged by injuries he suffered at the Calgary Stampede a month ago.  Physically and mentally, Tyler Thomson is the toughest Bull Rider in Canada and he will show up to win first as he does every time.

Ted- Beau Hill taking on Murphy’s Law in Oyen.

Scott Schiffner vs WVR833 Panic Switch – Scott is like a fine wine, he is certainly not letting his veteran status slow him down this season.  He is leading the CPRA and is just one spot out of the top 10 in the PBR Canada standings.  The last time I saw WVR833 Panic Switch go was with Dusty Ephrom at the Cooper/Clunie  Memorial PBR and he wasn’t very good.  I hope Nanson Vold has had a good talk with him in the feed pen because Panic Switch only has one more chance to prove he is a bucker.

Ted- Scott making a gritty ride on the Kropius – Morton Bull Hands Free in Manor, SK in July.
