Daryl Mills PBR Invitational Approaching Fast

Fort St. John, BC: Daryl Mills, Ken Wagner and Terry McLeod have been busy preparing for the upcoming Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada Touring Pro Event at the Fort St. John Rec Center for the past few months. Today, it’s only about two more months away and things are looking great for the April 20th and 21st bull riding.

All net proceeds are going to charities including the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, the Edmonton Rodeo Cowboys Benevolent Foundation and the Northern BC High School Rodeo Association.

Tickets are $40 per night and can be purchased at the door or by calling 250-787-5552.

The Pomeroy Inn & Suites are the host hotel for the event.

In addition, the inaugural Fort St. John Pro Rodeo is set to take place on the second week in June of 2014.

“The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the facility and to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to experience an event that includes great athletes (human and animal), and a chance to learn and appreciate a true western lifestyle. The event is to be held at The Horse Park facility and is set in a treed area which is in itself very beautiful. There is a large outdoor arena, covered grandstand, an indoor pavilion, camping area and lots of great room to unwind and enjoy the area. The setting is relaxing until the rodeo begins, then it becomes an exciting and wonderful place.” – TheHorsePark.ca website information.

The Horse Park Founder, Terry McLeod added this comment as the first Fort St. John Pro Rodeo was set to happen this coming June. However due to weather and construction conditions, this event has been pushed back until 2014.

“I would like to welcome everyone to the first Rodeo website for Fort St John, BC. this is going to be the official events center website to keep everyone updated on current rodeo events, roping events, clinics and links to surrounding arena sites. I have been working on this for a few years now, I’m hoping to have everyone in town and the surrounding area’s join us this year for our first CPRA/PRCA sanctioned event at our new facility. it will seat 2700 spectators with a full 5/8 mile track coming in 2014. We will be hosting the west coast amusements and the WPCA as well. Come join us for a car show, amusements, fireworks and of course a huge three day Pro Rodeo on June 14 to 16th 2014. See you there. Terry”
