Australian Bull Rider Richardson Wins Debut BFTS Event

Uncasville, CT: 19 Year Old Rookie bull rider Lachlan Richardson of Australia won his first ever event on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series today at the Mohegan Sun Invitational. He rode the Circle T Bull Jack Daniels After Party for 89.5 points to win the Championship Round and Event. He was presented a check for $38,900 for event win.

Here’s his ride to win the event.

“Lachie” as he’s called by some of his friends back home has only been over here in North America for the past six weeks or so. The first we saw him was back up in Abbotsford, BC in late February at the Canadian Cup Series Event there. He rode the Vold bull Taking Aim there.

Just a week later he took home a big check in Lethbridge, AB with this ride on the Flying Four Bull Krackin’

Yesterday he rode the bull Red Man in Conneticut but got in a bit of a wreck here on the way to his event win.

He was the only man to ride all four of his bulls this weekend. It would be interesting to find out who the last Australian to win an event was on the PBR’s Built Ford Tough Series. Does anyone know that stat? If you do let us know in the comment section below.

Congratulations to Lachlan on the win. With the way he rides we will surely be seeing a lot more of him now. Riley Gibson from back in Australia said he was going to win a pile and he was sure right!

Ty Pozzobon had a bit of a rough go the last while he’s been on the road. He’d bucked off seven strait until last night.

Aaron Roy rode two of his bulls this weekend as well and made his way to the Championship Round where he was unfortunately bucked off the bull Rango once again. Rango was the high marked bull of the Short Go at 46.5 points.

To finish up this story from Uncasville for now, the Canadian Bucking Bull “Gas Tank” originally from the Wild Hoggs Bucking Bull Company now owned by Jeff Robinson and Wolf Creek Cattle Company, was the bull that took Marco Eguche to the round win at 89.5 points.

Look for a bunch more of our great bucking bulls along with our best best bull riders at next weekend’s BFTS event down in Billings, MT.
