Prince Albert, SK: After two weeks out in Eastern Canada on the PBR Canadian Cup Series, the top bull riders in Canada will make their way to the Art Hauser Center this Friday & Saturday to compete for $15,000 in added prize money at the Clunie-Cooper Memorial PBR Canadian Touring Pro Event.
Livestock director Jason Davidson has assembled a high power set of bucking bulls for the event including the Calgary Stampede’s Pawn Star along with the PBR World Finals Bull by the name of First Nation Sensation of the Girletz’s.
Here’s what Jason had to say about Friday night’s match-ups. To see if he’s right or not, make your way down to see all the action starting at 7:30pm each night.
Aaron Roy vs GRS63 Forget Me Not
Here is a bull that Ty Pozzobon rode to an 87.5 pt score at the Edmonton PBR Canadian Cup a year ago. Aaron has been on this bull before but Forget Me Not certainly did not have the day he can. Aaron is coming off an 85 pt ride on the final day of the Kansas City PBR Built Ford Tough Event so I expect him to narrow the gap between him and PBR Canada front runners Chad Besplug and Zane Lambert with a good long round score on this bull.

Tanner Byrne vs SKRI22 Festus
Tanner has drawn a bull, in front of his hometown crowd, that has not been ridden this year. I have seen this bull go 3 times this year and he has been anywhere from a 20 pt to 22 pt bull. If the bullfighters can get this big athletic black to spin to the right I think Tanner can be in the mid to high 80’s on him. Luckily Tanner has a cousin (Scott) and and 2 older brothers (Jesse and Bo) fighting bulls for him at this years PBR event.
Chad Besplug vs GRS 45 Cowboy’s Choice
This is a bull that really impressed me his first trip in Lloydminster last fall. He was marked as high as 22.5 pts on a couple of occasions last year but this year so far has been just a real good long round draw. Aussie Brendan Clark rode Cowboy’s Choice to an 86 pt score in the Final Round of the Lethbridge PBR last month. Chad is atop the PBR Canada standings and should be tickled to have this bull drawn. Cowboy’s Choice should give Chad an opportunity to win alot of money friday night.

Zane Lambert vs RSGA 74 Abu
If Zane is going to step up and win a PBR Canada Championship he needs to make opportunities like this one count. Abu bucked off Budd Williamson in Winnipeg but he is a 21 pt bull all day long. He is an excellent draw and Zane can use this opportunity to gain some ground on PBR Canada season leader Chad Besplug.

Here is the entire draw for night one for those of you interested. We’d like to hear your thoughts as well. Who would you put your money on to win the long round? What bull team and single bull will get the highest scores?
