The Final Week of 2014

CALGARY, Alberta —  In the PRCA, this is the final week of the season for those looking to get to the NFR. The Grass Roots Finals in Calgary, makes he end of the CPRA season next weekend deciding the spots for the CFR in Edmonton.

What we know for sure at this point is that Jake Vold will get his first NFR back number in a couple months time. I’d bet money on Curtis Cassidy being there already as well as he’s 13th, about $7,000 ahead of the men in 14th and 15th.

Then there come those close races which come down to these final few days. Dustin Flundra of Pincher Creek, AB is only $165.56 out of the 15th and final spot which would get him to his third NFR. Flundra has this week alone to make up that ground and get his shot at another round under the bright lights of Vegas.

Also in the Bareback Riding, Luke Creasy and Orin Larsen still have a fighting chance. Creasy posted a note to Facebook earlier in the week stating he’s got two chances left, Omaha and Hanna that could get him to his first NFR. Nearly $10,000 back, it’s going to take some serious winning but it can be done.

Stay tuned as it’s going to be an exciting week!
