One More Sleep ‘Till #NFR12

Las Vegas, NV: With the 2012 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Starting tomorrow, now is a good time to write a little about the week to come.

It’s too bad that Luke Butterfield and Sam Kelts just missed making the finals this year to begin with. We were sure all pulling for them. It’s likely that both of them will make their first appearance in the next three years.

The good news for all of us up here is that Lindsay Sears is in solid contention for her third World Championship in five short years. With $18,000 per round on the line, it’s going to come down to who has the better finals. Stay tuned for updates all week on how Sears is doing.  See the full payout if you’d like to as well on the PRCa website through this link.

In my opinion, the most under estimated portion of this year’s NFR is the amount of animal athletes we have that will be involved. 14 Bareback Horses have been selected while 19 Saddle Bronc Horses have made the trip along with two bulls.

Four animals will be out in the first round. You can see the full draw through this link on the PRCA website.

Once again I’m looking forward to bringing you all the coverage of the NFR for my second time. Please let me know at any time if there’s anything else you’d like to hear about.

On that same note, I’ve had a few requests to keep everyone in the loop on how things are going at the bucking horse futurity on Friday afternoon. I’ll get myself down there for sure and let you all know how it’s going.

Have a great next two weeks and I look forward to seeing you all while you are here too!
