LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Calgary Stampede Bucking Horse great, John Wayne, will be retired tonight at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in the Thomas & Mack Center. Recently married Texas bronc rider Isaac Diaz has drawn the horse tonight. With a couple checks thus far, Diaz is one of only three men to ride all five mounts this week. currently, he sits third. John Wayne on the other side of the equation will make his final stand in a rodeo arena anywhere tonight.
Also out tonight is fellow Calgary horse Mad Money who’s drawn up against Chet Johnson or Wyoming. After bucking off Eclypce last night, Chet should be happy with this one. Big Stone’s Ruebels is up against College Station, Texan Sterling Crawley.
This is the third straight round Kaycee Feild has drawn a Canadian bucking horse, tonight he’s got Big Stone’s Whiskey Bent. A horse that Casey Colletti rode the first round for an 83.5 and a split of fourth. Kesler’s Starburst is out tonight matched up with Steven Peebles. In round one Starburst was part of that same 83.5 split of fourth.
Two C5 horses are up in round six. They are Fabio and Good Times who drew up with J.R. Vezain and Clint Cannon respectively.
